Big storms this afternoon, but much cooler now. The sky was beautiful afterwards, with soft swift moving clouds whipping across to the west, a kookaburra resting in a tree to dry off….then afterwards the mist rolled in and now all is foggy, the sun is down, and pleasantly cool, and the cicadas are celebrating with their evening chorus.
Shot some nice pics on a day at the bay…tide was out but could walk to the island…..beautiful big sky…lots of little crabs in the mud. It’s always refreshing to walk out into the natural world…good for inspiration too. I often get ideas for paintings after such walks, even if I’m working on contemporary abstractions.
The light’s a bit lower and softer in winter, but still very clear.
